CappedRun

Enum CappedRun

pub enum CappedRun {
    Exited {
        status: ExitStatus,
        stdout: Vec<u8>,
        stderr: Vec<u8>,
    },
    TimedOut {
        stderr: Vec<u8>,
    },
}
Expand description

The captured result of run_capped: the child exited, or it overran its deadline and was killed.

The same shape Subprocess uses internally, exposed so another crate that spawns its own child processes — atune_oniro, which chains oniro run invocations directly rather than through the executor — can reuse the bounded-wait + process-group-kill machinery instead of reimplementing it and risking a wedged child hanging the whole study.

Variants§

§

Exited

The child exited on its own; its status and captured output (each the last cap bytes).

Fields

§status: ExitStatus

The exit status.

§stdout: Vec<u8>

Captured stdout.

§stderr: Vec<u8>

Captured stderr.

§

TimedOut

The child overran the timeout; owning mode kills its whole process group, while explicit parent-group mode kills only the direct child. Captured stderr is retained up to the kill.

Fields

§stderr: Vec<u8>

Captured stderr up to the kill.
