Fields (Non-exhaustive)

Non-exhaustive structs could have additional fields added in future. Therefore, non-exhaustive structs cannot be constructed in external crates using the traditional Struct { .. } syntax; cannot be matched against without a wildcard ..; and struct update syntax will not work.

trial: TrialId

Storage-global identity.

number: TrialNumber

Per-study number.

state: TrialState

The trial’s lifecycle state: pruned, failed, and replaced members are charged like any other.

trained: u64

The resource this trial trained itself and is charged for: its highest reported step less the step of the checkpoint it started from (0 for a root, a fresh restart, a child that started without a checkpoint, or a trial without an atune.lineage record).

lineage: u64

The resource its lineage represents: its highest reported step, which is where its Recipe ends (0 before it reports).

age: u64

The resource trained since initialization or the last restart: the lineage resource less the step of the most recent shrink-and-perturb restart along its inherited checkpoints, if any.

evaluations: Vec<LedgerEvaluation>

Each stored evaluation stage with its replicate count, configuration first.
