Enum FidelitySource
pub enum FidelitySource {
Dehb(Arc<Dehb>),
Fixed(u64),
}Expand description
Where a trial’s fidelity (its run.steps budget) comes from.
The two arms are the two sides of the comparison the DEHB demonstration makes:
Dehb lets the sampler pick a cheap or full budget per
trial, Fixed always pays the full budget — plain
full-fidelity search, the baseline DEHB is measured against.
Variants§
Dehb(Arc<Dehb>)
The Dehb sampler decides each trial’s target fidelity via its bracket
schedule (Dehb::target_fidelity). The same Arc must be handed to the
study as its sampler, so the sampler that bred the configuration is the
one asked what budget it was bred for.
Fixed(u64)
Every trial runs at this fixed run.steps — full-fidelity search.
Implementations§
§impl FidelitySource
impl FidelitySource
pub fn fidelity_for(&self, trial_number: u64) -> Option<u64>
pub fn fidelity_for(&self, trial_number: u64) -> Option<u64>
The fidelity for trial trial_number, or None when a Dehb source has
no recorded job for it (only reachable for an empty space, where the caller
falls back to the full fidelity).
