ReplicateFan

Struct ReplicateFan

pub struct ReplicateFan {
    pub tune: Vec<ReplicateResult>,
    pub test: Vec<ReplicateResult>,
}
Expand description

The whole replicate fan of one trial: its tune replicates and, once the re-evaluation stage has run, its test replicates.

This is the payload of the per-trial state blob (FAN_BLOB_KIND). The trial-level objective the sampler ranks is the Aggregate over tune; the disjoint test replicates exist only to expose the tune-vs-test gap and re-rank the study best on held-out seeds.

Fields§

§tune: Vec<ReplicateResult>

The tune-seed replicates: what the sampler’s objective aggregates over.

§test: Vec<ReplicateResult>

The test-seed replicates, empty until the final re-evaluation stage runs.

Implementations§

§

impl ReplicateFan

pub const fn from_tune(tune: Vec<ReplicateResult>) -> Self

A fan with the given tune replicates and no test replicates.

pub fn tune_column(&self, index: usize) -> Vec<f64>

The per-replicate values of objective dimension index, across the tune replicates.

pub fn test_column(&self, index: usize) -> Vec<f64>

The per-replicate values of objective dimension index, across the test replicates.

pub fn tune_aggregate(&self, aggregate: Aggregate) -> Result<f64>

The aggregate of the tune replicates for a single-objective study.

§Errors

Error::InvalidSpace if there are no tune replicates.

pub fn test_aggregate(&self, aggregate: Aggregate) -> Result<f64>

The aggregate of the test replicates for a single-objective study.

§Errors

Error::InvalidSpace if there are no test replicates.
