Expand description

The live atune browser demo (D88).

A seeded study minimizes the 2-D Rastrigin function one trial per frame while the page draws the sampled points over the function’s heatmap and the best-so-far curve. Random, TPE, and CMA-ES are separately selectable runs from the same public seed; the page states facts about each run and never ranks the samplers.

  • controller owns the study and runs at most one ask/evaluate/tell transaction per call. It has no window, clock, or browser dependency, so host tests drive the exact sequence the browser replays.
  • problem and heatmap are pure functions.
  • app paints a Session into any egui::Ui, using atune_gui’s read-only history chart through StudyObservation.
  • web (wasm only) wires the semantic DOM controls, the eframe canvas, visibility pausing, and the portfolio embed messages. It is started only by the atune_showcase binary.

Modules§

app
The canvas side of the demo: frame pacing and egui painting.
controller
The demo’s run controller: one seeded study, advanced one trial at a time.
heatmap
Pure geometry for the objective heatmap: the sampled value grid, its color map, and the mapping from parameter space to the unit square. No window or GPU is involved, so every function is unit tested on the host.
problem
Built-in objective functions the demo optimizes.
